The Education Collaborative
THE BROOKLYN PROJECT
With the onset of COVID-19, arts funding in the NYC area has been cut by 11% providing students with even less arts-based opportunities for the 2020-2021 school year.
New York City is a very diverse city with people from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures, however, many students throughout the city live below the poverty line.
Through The Brooklyn Project, we are working to connect professional actors from Netflix's upcoming original series, Grand Army, with schools across the NYC area to bring virtual acting programs to low-income youth. Our goal is to create a safe and uplifting space for students to express themselves while working to further develop their acting skills.
